As of April 18, 2024, the Committee for Accreditation of Student Organizations (CASO) at the University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) officially recognized Kathaang Ugnayan ng Likhain, Talastasan, Obra’t Ulat (KultOU) as its first student organization.
If you're looking to connect with other students, there are also independent, student-run platforms and networks you can explore. For example, there is at least one Facebook group specifically for BAMS students that you might find helpful.
One BAMS student has started a Discord server for all UPOU undergraduate students. Although this too is an independent initiative, the BAMS Program is happy to share this particular initiative because platforms like Discord, Slack and similar communication platforms are better for facilitating and supporting different interests and discussions between students than other communication platforms such as Facebook, Viber, and Whatsapp. The joining link for the UPOU Undergraduate Discord server is https://discord.gg/ZUDzTBS Please direct any questions you have about this initiative to other moderators of the Discord server.
