BAMS admissions through successful completion of the Associate in Arts program

You might wish to consider applying for UPOU's 2-year Associate in Arts (AA) program, which provides a strong foundation in the arts and humanities. BAMS and AA share many common areas of study and practice. If you successfully finish the AA program, you will be eligible for admission to the BAMS program. Please note the following:

  • You must first graduate from the AA program before you can apply for BAMS. You are not allowed to shift to BAMS partway through your AA program.
  • There is a huge overlap between AA and BAMS courses, and most courses that you take as an AA student can be credited to the BAMS program. However, there are approximately five AA courses (approximately 15 units) that cannot be used towards BAMS program requirements, at least as of this writing. However, this may change if any changes are made to the AA and/or BAMS curriculum. Other than this limited number of courses, all AA courses can be used to fulfill the requirements of the BAMS program. (This information was last reviewed 8 July 2021.)

For details on how to apply for the AA program and for the requirements of the AA program, please see the website for the Associate in Arts (AA) program.
