Other educational opportunities
- You might still be eligible to apply for admission to other undergraduate programs offered in other UP campus units ⇗ or by other universities.
- You may also wish to consider other non-formal training opportunities offered by UPOU, by other institutions (e.g., TESDA⇗), or by other online learning platforms. For instance, you could take courses to strengthen your fundamental skills in critical thinking ⇗, academic writing ⇗, and professional communication⇗.
- There are also plenty of online courses available on the Web that are offered free of charge⇗ (though be aware that they will often offer a paid upgrade for you to get a certificate).
- You may also want to take a look at microcredentials ⇗
The BAMS program faculty and staff cannot provide any additional information about your eligibility for programs offered outside of UPOU; please contact the admissions department of the relevant university or the faculty office of the relevant program.
BAMS admissions through successful completion of the Associate in Arts program
You might wish to consider applying for UPOU's 2-year Associate in Arts (AA) program, which provides a strong foundation in the arts and humanities. BAMS and AA share many common areas of study and practice. If you successfully finish the AA program, you will be eligible for admission to the BAMS program. Please note the following:
- You must first graduate from the AA program before you can apply for BAMS. You are not allowed to shift to BAMS partway through your AA program.
- There is a huge overlap between AA and BAMS courses, and most courses that you take as an AA student can be credited to the BAMS program. However, there are approximately five AA courses (approximately 15 units) that cannot be used towards BAMS program requirements, at least as of this writing. However, this may change if any changes are made to the AA and/or BAMS curriculum. Other than this limited number of courses, all AA courses can be used to fulfill the requirements of the BAMS program. (This information was last reviewed 8 July 2021.)
For details on how to apply for the AA program and for the requirements of the AA program, please see the website for the Associate in Arts (AA) program.
