It depends on the course and the Faculty-in-Charge. While taking exams online have become more accepted in recent years, there are still some cases where students do have to take written exams, which can take place in the following:
- at a UPOU Learning Center or Testing Center;
- at a Philippine embassy/consulate or any academic institution/credible organization abroad under the supervision of a qualified proctor in the area;
- online; or
- online but proctored via webcam.
